How to put AdSense Ads on Blog?

An advertisement is some of the sponsored links which have been shown on another website as when visitors click or visit the link. The publisher gets income on the basis of the link. As these links work on CPC, CTR and sales promotional cost.

But for most of the advertisers, the CPC (click per cost) is one of the most efficient and effective links. As the CPC has been one the main and top earning links for big websites. As there are many advertisers who work on CPC. But one of the best and most trusted advertisers for this website is Google Adsense.

We know that Google Adsense is the most popular service to monetize your blog or web content. Once you are approved, you can display targeted Google ads on your blog, and can generate revenue on either a per-impression or per-click basis.

Keep in mind that Google Adsense only allows up to 3 ad units, 3 link units, and search boxes per page.

Check maximum ad units allowed on a blog/website.

In this post, I will show you three ways to add “Adsense ads” to your blog.

1. Google Adsense Gadget

You can use this method to add ad unit as a widget. You can position it simply like any other widget. To add Google AdSense Gadget, follow these steps:

Step 1: Log in to your account in Blogger Dashboard, go to Layout and click on “Add a Gadget” link on the right side.

Step 2: From the pop-up window, select the AdSense Gadget.

Step 3: Configure ad format and colors.

Step 4: Finally, click on the “Save” button and you’re done.

2. Inline Ads (Earnings tab)

This will display an ad unit at the end of each post. To show ads between the posts:

Step 1: Go to Earnings tabs and click yes on “Show ads on blog” on the top side.

Step 2: Now from “Ad Setup for blog” section, select any of three options of “Display ads”, as per as your choice.

Step 3: Finally, click on “Save settings” button, and you’re done.

3. AdSense Code

·         The benefits of using this method are:

·         You can place the ad anywhere in your blog.

·         You can add the Adsense code anywhere in your blog template, in your post content or page.

·         You can also choose types other than ad unit i.e. link unit, search box.  

To create an ad unit:

Step 1: Go to Google Adsense website, and log in to your account.

Step 2: Click on My ads tab, go to Ad units and then click on the “New ad unit” button.

Step 3: Choose your ad type, format and colors and assign channels.

Step 4: When you have finished editing, click on the “Save and get code >>” button and copy the given provided code.

Step 5: To add a unit to your blog, you have the following options:

·         Paste the code into an HTML/JavaScript gadget

·         Paste the code into the blog post or page HTML section

·         Paste the code direct in your template, if you choose this option, 1st you should need to convert AdSense ad code (HTML TO XML) from here.
